The 2024 edition of IEM China will be held in Chengdu, the capital and biggest city of Sichuan province. The event will take place from April 8 to April 14. IEM Chengdu will feature 16 elite teams from across the world competing for a portion of a $250,000 prize pool and a seat in the IEM Cologne group stage. The tournament's last three days will be held in the Wuliangye Chengdu Performing Arts Centre, a multi-purpose venue with a capacity of 12,000 people.
FaZe, G2, FURIA, and Complexity are among the 10 invited teams to attend IEM Chengdu. The remaining six seats will be filled through regional qualifications, with the Chinese qualifier, won by Lynn Vision, the only one already completed. After IEM Katowice, which begins on January 31, EM Chengdu will be the second tournament of 2024 to count toward Intel Grand Slam 5.
