Heroic have earned a bye in the first round of the IEM Dallas playoffs

Following a 2-0 demolition of G2 in the Group A upper final, Heroic received a bye in the first round of the IEM Dallas playoffs and will begin the bracket stage from the semi-finals. The quarterfinal round of the playoffs will see G2 square off against Group B's third-place team, which will be the victor of the match between FaZe and Cloud9.

For much the whole series, Casper "cadiaN" Møller and colleagues were in cruise control. Thanks to cadiaN's outstanding play, they gave G2 their first Inferno loss since February and ended their 10-map winning run. At a pivotal moment in the second half, when G2 had a chance to get back into the game, the Danish skipper topped the charts and gave his side back-to-back 1v2 clutches. After that, things only got worse for Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen's side when the show was picked up by Heroic, who had not selected anything in months despite recent success on the map.
