Chovy’s Master rank on EUW lightens the route to World Championship

The dual between Hanwha Life Esports and LNG Esports is to kick off the year’s play-in stage opening for the 2021 League of Legends World Championship tomorrow. The EUW solo queue has been the stage for showcasing talent for many professionals and only some like Hanwha’s mid-laner Chovy have lived up to attain the League’s Master rank with a stunning record of 18 wins and one loss.

Chovy, the best Korean mid laner over the past few years, is playing the Worlds stage for the third year with HLE following the 2019 and 2020 editions with Griffin and DRX, respectively back to back. Continuing his eye-catchy performance like always, the EUW accounts for his 21 wins and four losses. Only targeting top-tier laners like Tryndamere, Sylas, and Yone, Chovy has been aggressively attacking in the Patch 11.19 meta. The Worlds 2021 starting tomorrow at 6 am CT, the first game of the tournament features Chovy and his team against LPL’s fourth seed, LNG Esports.
