One professional has stood out among all players and fans as the finest to ever pick up a keyboard and mouse since the competitive League of Legends scene first began: Lee "Faker" Sang-hyeok. The 27-year-old has spent his whole career with T1, a company with a reputation that is just as illustrious as Faker's, as seen by the numerous local and international championships they have won. But what if the well-known mid laner made the decision to leave his familiar surroundings in search of a fresh challenge abroad?

According to esports writer Alejandro Gomis, Faker received offers from teams in the LPL and LCS over the offseason. Gomis claims FlyQuest was prepared to spend upwards of $3 to $5 million for the G.O.A.T. despite reports that LNG Esports and Weibo Gaming slapped some significant agreements. T1 and Team Liquid, a rival North American organisation, apparently outbid FlyQuest.
