On April 18, the 23-year-old made the announcement on social media that he had become a free agent. He also said he was searching for other chances and thanked the Immortals for their faith over the last 2.5 years. The Immortals primary League of Legends roster player with the longest tenure was Revenge, who joined the team before the 2021 season. He was one of Immortals' best players in the most recent Spring Split, which was emphasised by other LCS players despite Immortals' disastrous ninth-place result in the regular season.
The release of Revenge is not the only roster modification Immortals made before the next split. Erik "Treatz" Wessén, a League veteran, was hired by the organisation on April 17 to serve as the new support for their LCS squad.
