Liquid rebrands the team to ‘Team Liquid Honda’

The 2022 LCS Summer Split would feature Team Liquid under a new banner as ‘Team Liquid Honda’. Their partnership with car manufacturer Honda moves to the next level as they officially rebrand the team. The team’s logo would also undergo a change, apart from the name, Honda’s logo would feature on the 2022 Liquid League jersey. As per the deal between the two organizations even the naming rights for the Liquid academy team are included.

Liquid is not the only esports team to add a sponsor’s name to their name, TSM and cryptocurrency exchange FTX also partnered up in 2021 for 10 years but Riot Games did not allow FTX to affix its name as its existing guidelines on partnerships with crypto exchanges is violated. Team Liquid Honda’s roster now features mid laner Bjergsen, bot laner Hans sama, support CoreJJ, and top laner/jungler duo Bwipo and Santorin.
