New franchise record for LCS victories in a single split- Golden Guardians

Without a doubt, this year has seen Golden Guardians ascend to the LCS. Despite all this League of Legends team iteration has done over the past seven months, there is one additional achievement they have won for the company as a whole. Golden Guardians have tallied 10 victories in a normal split after their victory against Immortals yesterday in the fifth week of the 2023 LCS Summer Split—something the team has never been able to do in their LCS era previously.

With those wins, the team has already earned a berth in the bracket for the next LCS Championship, but they still have four games left in the split to win additional games for themselves. Golden Guardians are currently tied with Cloud9 in the Summer Split standings (10 wins, 4 defeats), a rivalry that has grown ever since the two teams faced off in the Spring Playoffs final.
