Nongshim RedForce secured a playoff spot in LCK

After an intense battle Nongshim RedForce defeated Hanwha Life Esports 2-1 in week 8 of the 2021 LCK Summer Split to secure a playoff spot. By keeping down Hanwha Life Esports, NS even secured Gen.G's playoff spot this season. Gen.G was at the risk of losing their spot but now even if they lose all their upcoming matches they would not drop below the sixth rank.

NS’s Gori and Deokdam earned the MVP votes of the series, owing to their four unique picks for the match that led them to a victory and the ultimate prize, the playoff spot. Gori first dazzled everyone on Ryze and then Deokdam picked Ziggs to enjoy a KDA of 0/0/7. Now just four spots are up for grabs in the split, DRX is out already of the running and thus the spots can go to Liiv SANDBOX, T1, DWG KIA, and Afreeca Freecs, with a sliver of a chance for Hanwha Life Esports, KT Rolster, or Fredit BRION to qualify.
