Oceanic League of Legends is back

After Oceanic Pro League was canceled the disappointment to Oceanic League of Legends fans was huge and thus a new league has been announced for 2021, ESL and Guinevere Capital will be handling the operations of the new eight-team league in 2021 and they have inked a three year deal with Riot Games for the league. The League as of now has no real structure but is being designed after consulting eight teams who were a part of OPL’s final season. Teams like Avant Gaming, ORDER, Dire Wolves, Gravitas, Legacy Esports, MAMMOTH,  Chiefs Esports Club, and Pentanet.GG had all competed at OPL. If things go well ESL, and Guinevere Capital can opt for a three-year extension as well.

Nick Vanzetti of ESL shares, the ESL team has taken part in running the first tournament on Oceanic servers and even produced a great OPL final in Melbourne Esports Open, and we will do more.
