The Golden Guardians have lost their eleventh straight LCS split

Golden Guardians have failed to finish above.500 for the 11th straight LCS split. Golden Guardians has never had a winning split since joining the LCS as a newly-franchised squad organization in 2018, with a 9-9 record being a record often associated with the team. Golden Guardians once again completed 9-9 for the fourth time in franchise history after falling to Dignitas (who went 3-15 in the Spring), falling short of .500 for the 11th consecutive game. Golden Guardians had a record of 9-6 entering the last week of the LCS Spring Split, which meant they only required one victory to secure a winning split. They ended their Spring run with an even record, losing to CLG, FlyQuest, and ultimately Dignitas.

Given that the squad had a hot streak of eight straight victories in the third week of the season, it looked like Golden Guardians may finally break their franchise-long curse and surpass the 10-win mark this split. But they are locked for the sixth place in the standings and will kick off their playoff run from 25th March.
