Gian Piero Gasperini has praised Real Madrid

Gian Piero Gasperini has praised Real Madrid’s exceptional quality ahead of Roma’s Champions League meeting at the Stadio Olimpico on October 14.
Following Roma’s draw against Como, the Italian coach highlighted the Spanish giants’ outstanding squad and the strength of their organisation, acknowledging their ability to attract elite players.
“When I look at Real Madrid, I see a team of incredible champions, both on and off the pitch,” Gasperini said, underlining the stature of the upcoming challenge.
The Roma boss also addressed supporters’ enduring affection for José Mourinho, the former Giallorossi manager who now leads Madrid. While Mourinho retains a special place in the hearts of many fans, Gasperini believes Roma have developed a distinct identity under his leadership.
Today’s encounter offers the Italian side an opportunity to measure its progress against European football’s most decorated club, with expectations high ahead of a compelling continental showdown in the Italian capital.
