Does KZ Okpala deserve Miami Heat?

With Summer League in full action, Miami Heat is in good shape with players like Marcus Garrett, DeJon Jarreau, and RJ Nembhard brimming with potential as a two-way player. But, KZ Okpala does not seem to fit in with the deserving lot given his poor first few Summer League game performances. Only averaging 7.5 points a night and a horrendous efficiency, the 22-year-old wing is shooting 23.8% from the field and 20.0% from deep.

With the Heat looking for ways to break his already locked contract for the year, waiving him or trading him are viable for the team with no reason to choose him over other far better Summer League players. The only way for KZ Okpala to survive the crisis is to change his gear and overperform on all the expectations not being a dead weight to the Miami Heat still lucky with the team presently and some more time from now.
