On Thursday, the Pacers won their fourth game in their previous six games. The Indiana Pacers got off to the right start, the squad went all over the Houston Rockets early in their contest, which has been unusual for the team in recent months. Before you could blink, Indiana was up 11-4, and they grew that advantage to as much as 34-17 in the first frame. Tyrese Haliburton and Myles Turner helped lead Pacers early on. But at halftime, momentum shifted away from Pacers, Houston went on a 20-8 surge to make it a six-point game at the break. It became a struggle rather than a blowout for the side.
In the second half, it became apparent that, with Mathurin out, head coach Rick Carlisle was relying more on Jordan Nwora and T.J. McConnell. But despite the growing list of injured players, Indiana benefited from Haliburton’s 29 points and 19 assists performance while Turner had 21 points and 7 blocks overall and Pacers added another win to their tally
