The Nets and Knicks are finalizing a significant trade deal, per Adrian Wojnarowski of ESPN. Forward Mikal Bridges is set to move from Brooklyn to New York in exchange for Bojan Bogdanovic, substantial draft assets, and additional considerations. This transaction marks a surprising turn for both franchises. The Knicks are surrendering their 2025, 2027, 2029, and 2031 first-round draft picks, alongside a 2025 protected first-rounder from the Bucks, a 2028 unprotected pick swap, and a 2025 second-rounder.
In return, they will acquire Bridges along with the Nets' 2026 second-round pick. Bridges, part of the Nets since the 2023 Kevin Durant trade, had expressed a desire to join the Knicks, influenced by former Villanova teammates Jalen Brunson, Donte DiVincenzo, and Josh Hart. The deal underscores the Nets' strategic reshaping and the Knicks' aggressive pursuit of talent.
