Toronto Raptors beat the Wizards

After a devastating defeat, Saturday seemed to be more of the same. For the majority of the first half, Toronto's offense got off to a sluggish start, allowing Washington to attempt free throws in the open court. Later on, though, things were able to change since Gary Trent Jr. needed to start playing well again to keep them in the game. In one of the toughest games of the season, the Raptors forced the Wizards into overtime, winning 116-109 to enable Toronto to depart the Capital City with a split against a club with some offensive oomph.

Regardless of the outcome of this game, Toronto has learned some crucial lessons from the Washington games about how to manage this team's rotation. These two changes appear to be straightforward solutions, even though Nurse's subpar end-game management has its own thesis owing to how egregious the ineptitude was.
