Tim Robinson acknowledged feeling conflicted about the fact that he had lost and that his chance to play had only come about due to a teammate's bad luck.
Robinson was scheduled to play in the first game of the series. Walking in at 6 for 3, Robinson turned a shaky start into a superb 106* from 65 balls, rescuing his side to 181. It wasn’t enough, as Australia chased the target with ease and 21 balls to spare. Robinson now averages 38.40 with a strike-rate of 137.63 in 13 T20Is since debuting in Pakistan last year. His century surpassed his previous best of 75* against South Africa in July’s tri-series. Robinson faces a tough selection battle for next year’s T20 World Cup, with New Zealand’s top order packed. Alongside Ravindra, he’s currently covering for absentees Finn Allen and Kane Williamson, both contenders for the top three.
