By defeating fnatic 2-1, FaZe has earned a spot in the ESL Pro League playoffs. FaZe lost to Ancient (12-16) before defeating Inferno (16-14) and Nuke (16-3). Particularly on Ancient, FaZe seemed out of sorts, losing to many low-buys and making some bad choices. As the series progressed, they adapted to it and by the time Nuke arrived, they were a whole new monster.
On their CT side, FaZe got off to a strong start. Their aggressive approach frequently caught fnatic off guard. However, fnatic made the appropriate changes and entered the second session with a 7-8 lead. When the teams swapped, fnatic gained control of the map, with William "mezii" Merriman standing tall to make sure his team kept expanding their advantage. FaZe had considerable success towards the conclusion of the first half, but at a crucial juncture they stumbled allowing fnatic to claim a 16-12 victory.
