FaZe manages to sneak in a playoff spot 

IEM Dallas saw the end of its first day and the final two matches resulted in FaZe and Astralis moving on to the next round in the tournament. FaZe took out Vitality for the coveted playoff spot while Astralis faced Encore and send the other team packing home. 

The upper bracket semi-final first saw Vitality, move a dominantly on Dust2 but FaZe the Major champions did not relent easily and handed the side a 0-2 end of the run in the Upper bracket with an 11-16 win on Dust2, 6-16 win on Nuke. Vitality would take on MOUZ next and hope to survive the next match. While for Astralis it was an easy sailing in the lower bracket against the Oceanic representatives where they won the series with a 16-3 win on Vertigo, and a 16-9 win on Nuke.
