GODSENT shines bright in the North American closed qualifier for IEM Winter, crushing FURIA 2-1 in the final bagging the spot at the 16-team IEM Winter scheduled in December. The match was a redemption of the initial defeat to FURIA by GODSENT joining the open qualifiers Extra Salt and paiN following the lower bracket lead over the latter.
Andrei "arT" Piovezan's men were resistant to GODSENT’s Vertigo taking a 16-1 win over them. FURIA’s Yuri "yuurih" Santos and GODSENT’s João "felps" Vasconcellos balanced out odds from both ends. Inferno was different as GODSENT stroke back with a 16-12 lead while Overpass saw felps dominate with a 1.62 rating. A 9-6 Terrorist side half was another plus to GODSENT facing no-show from FURIA’s rookie André "drop" Abreu. With only two events left to attend, IEM Fall, and the PGL Stockholm Major, FURIA’s year graph is skeptical to grow.
