Renegades clinch their spot at Asia RMR

The Oceania RMR open qualifier had few shocks, as Renegades, the region's dominant team for several years, came out on top and secured a spot at the Major-qualifying tournament. The Oceania qualifier took place on March 5-6, with a double-elimination top-8 phase and a BO3 final match. Renegades defeated FREE THE MANDEM in their first match and edged off a Michael "chelleos" Hawkins-led Paradox to advance to the upper bracket final.

"INS" Joshua Next, Potter and co. faced up against ORDER, one of their major domestic rivals, and easily dispatched them, winning 16-8 on Nuke. Luke "ekul" Blakey and Declan "Vexite" Blakey both put in strong performances. ORDER was unable to recover in the lower bracket, losing in overtime to Paradox and setting up a Renegades vs. Paradox grand showdown.
