Facundo Campazzo, a former guard for the Denver Nuggets, and the Dallas Mavericks reached an agreement on a one-year contract on Wednesday, according to a report from NBA insider Marc Stein on Tuesday. Campazzo, 31, has been waiting for a new NBA offer for a while since a number of teams in Europe were interested in signing him. He will now play for the Mavericks and re-team with Luka Doncic, a player he previously teamed up with when playing for Real Madrid in Spain.
Facundo Campazzo, who will join the Nuggets in 2020, has always been a reliable back-up guard and has contributed significantly to Denver over the past two seasons. Before the 2022–23 NBA season began, the Mavericks had one free roster space that they could fill, and the decision to sign the seasoned point guard made a lot of sense.
