Kane Richardson, the Australian fast bowler, announced his retirement from professional cricket at age 34. A member of the 2021 T20 World Cup winning side, Richardson played 25 ODIs and 36 T20Is for his country. His journey started with Northern Territory and South Australia, making his List A debut in the 2008-09 season and international debut against Sri Lanka in 2013.

A Big Bash League veteran, Richardson played in every edition. He spent six seasons with the Adelaide Strikers and eight with the Melbourne Renegades, finishing with a single year at the Sydney Sixers. He retires as the fifth highest wicket taker in the BBL with 142 wickets. Additionally, he was a global franchise player, featuring in tournaments like the IPL.
