Johnson Charles helped the West Indies get off to a strong start by smashing eight boundaries and three sixes on his way to 63 off 47 deliveries. He and Brandon King had a 129-run opening partnership until Charles was caught off the bowling of Ali Naseer in the 17th over. King led the scoring for West Indies with 64 runs from 70 deliveries, while Keacy Carty (32), Hope (23) and Kavem Hodge (26) chipped in with runs in the middle.
