Maverick Viñales has launched a scathing attack on KTM, revealing a breakdown so deep that his future in MotoGP is now in doubt. The Spaniard, disappointed by being overlooked for a factory seat in favour of Fabio Di Giannantonio and Alex Marquez, says he will leave the Austrian manufacturer at season’s end. Speaking at the Sachsenring, Viñales insisted he is no longer in talks with KTM and is instead focused on taking a break.
He then detailed a contract dispute: KTM allegedly emailed him a renewal he considered poor, yet signed out of loyalty to the engineers. Two weeks later, he claims the team told him the deal was invalid. Feeling “out of the motorcycling world,” Viñales hinted at a complete rupture. Given his tense relationship with Tech3 boss Günther Steiner, an early split cannot be ruled out, a scenario he has already lived through, following his abrupt dismissal from Yamaha in 2021.
