The Board of Control for Cricket in India confirmed that Rawal has successfully finalized her rehabilitation program at the Centre of Excellence. She is now fully recovered from the ankle injury sustained last October amidst India’s triumphant World Cup journey. Rawal limped off the ground during a rain-affected fixture against Bangladesh, eventually being replaced by Shafali Verma prior to the semi-final stage. Since that incident, she has remained absent from all competitive cricket action while prioritizing her long recovery process.
Notably, selectors have already named her in the squad for the one-off Test match scheduled after the Australia ODIs. Despite this enforced sideline spell, Rawal’s stellar international debut secured her a deserved place within the BCCI central contracts list. Furthermore, the UP Warriorz acquired her for the 2026 WPL season, although her injury prevented participation in the tournament. The upcoming ODI series commences on February 24 in Brisbane, continuing to Hobart, while Perth hosts the concluding Test match.
