Proteas' coach Mashimbyi vows to learn from defeat

After the World Cup final defeat to India, Proteas women's coach Mandla Mashimbyi's initial sadness gave way to excitement for the future. "I'm kind of excited now," he said.

"When no one gave us a chance, we gave ourselves a chance. I know what to do going forward." Mashimbyi is already focusing on the next challenge: the T20 World Cup in the UK next June.

"We'll make sure we leave no stone unturned for England," he vowed. Expectations will be high for the South African team, which has reached the final of the last two T20 World Cup editions. Despite the disappointment of coming up short in the World Cup final, Mashimbyi's determination and optimism are set to drive the team forward.

The Proteas will be looking to make a strong impression in the UK, with a clear plan in place to take on the best teams in the world.
