In light of their consideration of giving him a test debut, Sanju Samson disclosed that the leadership group of Team India has instructed him to participate in additional Ranji Trophy matches. Samson has not yet participated in a Test match since making his Indian white-ball debut in 2015. Samson amassed 3819 runs at an average of 38.96 in 64 first-class matches, with 11 centuries to his credit. He caught the interest of both fans and selectors by smashing a century in the Duleep Trophy match, which made him a candidate for a Test call-up.
Despite being a headliner in the IPL, Samson has not yet established himself wearing the Indian uniform. After making his debut in 2015, the 29-year-old wicketkeeper has been in and out of the Indian lineup and is working hard to become a regular member of the team.
