Chase sets mid‑table WTC target for West Indies

Roston Chase believes the West Indies can climb back toward the middle of the ICC World Test Championship table, setting a clear objective before their home series against Pakistan. Speaking ahead of the first Test in Tarouba, the captain explained that the team’s initial aim for the cycle was a fifth‑ or sixth‑place finish, a target he considers ambitious yet realistic.

The West Indies currently sit eighth with a 15.00 PCT from one win in ten matches, just above Pakistan, who remain last after being docked points for a slow over rate earlier in the cycle. Chase stressed that winning the upcoming series is essential not only for WTC positioning but also for improving the team’s overall Test ranking.
