Jasprit Bumrah starred with a brilliant spell, picking up 4/22, including three wickets in one over, as Mumbai Indians defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 48 runs at the Wankhede Stadium. Trent Boult and Will Jacks provided strong support, helping MI secure their fifth consecutive win in IPL 2025. Batting first, Mumbai posted 215/7, thanks to Suryakumar Yadav’s explosive 28-ball 54, during which he crossed the 4,000-run milestone in IPL history.
Ryan Rickelton also impressed with a 32-ball 58 after LSG skipper Rishabh Pant chose to bowl first. Mayank Yadav, playing his first match of the season, dismissed Rohit Sharma early. In response, LSG faltered as Jacks removed Nicholas Pooran and Pant in the same over. Despite an injury to Mitch Santner, debutant Corbin Bosch delivered a solid all-round performance. With this win, Mumbai Indians climbed to second place with 12 points.
