The West Indies tour ended on a good note for Pakistan who is now heading home after a successful T20I series against WI and then they fought back in the second test to force a draw before leaving. Pakistan’s team was under high pressure to keep their winning streak alive against West Indies even though they came close to losing it once. The men in green have not lost any of the multi-match bilateral series against WI since 2000.
The shining star in the squad was pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi who grabbed 18 wickets in total in two tests and even posted a career-best 10 for 94 to become the fourth-youngest pacer to cross the 10 wicket haul in the Test. Pakistan was quite powerful in the second test as they claimed a win while maintaining a 6.43 run rate in their second inning which is the third-highest run rate by any country, they trail behind Australia(7.53) and South Africa(6.80).
