Carlo Ancelotti's contract extension as Brazil manager is well on track, awaiting a series of "bureaucratic and legal adjustments" to formalise the agreement, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) reported.
Speaking to journalists, CBF president Samir Xaud defended the Italian coach's tenure with the 'Canarinha' since last May, asserting that "a year is too short to develop work that yields fruit and results."
'Carletto' signed a contract last year until the conclusion of the World Cup in the United States, Canada, and Mexico, scheduled for June and July.
Local media reports indicate the Italian coach will extend his commitment with the Brazilian national team for a four-year cycle, effectively until the 2030 World Cup.
"We possess the world's best raw material in terms of a coach; we must capitalise on him, make the most of the time he spends here in Brazil with the national team. I have great faith," Xaud declared.
