As it has already been established for this European Championship, Belgium has one of the most talented sides in European football today. Their golden generation of players led by Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne, Yannick Carrasco, Romelu Lukaku and other key players, is about to make an entrance against the always dangerous Italy. The match is set to be played at Parc Olympique Lyonnais in Lyon this next Monday.
On the other side, Antonio Conte is about to start his last tournament with the Nazzionale before going to England to coach Chelsea FC. With a relatively unknown team which lacks big names in football today, they will attempt to make an impact with their overly defensive Cantenaccio style and get as far as they possibly can this time around. Let us not forget that last tournament four years ago, Italy managed to reach the final which they lost against Spain.
West Ham United player Angelo Ogbonna, spoke about his manager and what he expects for this tournament: "We always give 120 per cent, because that is only right. We are working very hard and I think the coach is the added value, as he never lets a single detail pass unnoticed. This makes us have the right mentality to face these Euros, where on paper we might be on an inferior level to some other teams, but nothing can be taken for granted. We are keeping the same determination from the first day to the last. The defense is the best-drilled area of the team. It can be our strong point, but it too has to be trained well."
On the other side, AS Roma midfielder Radja Nainggolan also gave his opinion on the upcoming match. He spoke to La DH: : "Italy is one of the best things that happened to me. It has been 11 years since I moved there. That's where I became a man - and that is also where I see my long-term future. I'll probably live there after my career."
