Everton at the top of the race for Ligue 1 striker

Everton is making a move in the transfer market and is at the top in the race for Strasbourg striker Ludovic Ajorque. The talks between Everton and the Ligue 1 club have almost reached the conclusion point with the player securing a loan move with an €18m option to buy.

Frank Lampard’s plan here is to replace Richarlison, with Ajorque, the player who scored 12 goals in 36 Ligue 1 matches last season. Wolves are also involved in the race but have seen their £10m bid for Ajorque rejected by the team. Strasbourg is holding out on an £18m price, while Leicester City and Brentford also keep a track of his situation. Frenchman still has two years in his contract with Ligue 1 but Everton is winning the race for the striker’s signature.
