Teun Koopmeiners, a star player for Atalanta, is being considered by Juventus sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli as a must-have addition before the summer transfer window opens. The player's agents will soon travel to Italy to discuss the Dutchman's possible move to the Allianz Stadium.
Koopmeiners has an extremely clear idea of what lies ahead for him. At the end of the season, he is eager to leave Atalanta, where he has spent three years, ideally, he might leave after helping the team win the Europa League trophy. The club might receive an estimated €50 million from the transfer of Koopmeiners. But, Juventus apparently knows that Atalanta is interested in Matias Soule and Dean Huijsen, and is prepared to offer the two young players as a makeweight in a trade. In order to persuade the player to pick them over rivals, they would also be happy to triple Koopmeiners' pay. At Atalanta, the player currently makes about €1.5 million net per season.
