Dan Ndoye, a transfer target for Napoli and Nottingham Forest, was injured and had to leave Bologna's preseason friendly against Serie C team Virtus Verona on Sunday night after just four minutes. The Switzerland international started in Vincenzo Italiano's surprisingly strong Bologna XI for their preseason runout on Sunday. He has been linked to a move to join Antonio Conte's Napoli for the most of the summer and more recently to Forest in the Premier League.
In front of a midfield pivot that included Lewis Ferguson and Michel Aebischer, the Switzerland international began the game attacking with Riccardo Orsolini, Giovanni Fabbian, and Santiago Castro. But according to Gianluca Di Marzio, Ndoye was hurt after just 20 seconds of the friendly between Bologna and Virtus Verona after being the target of an overly forceful challenge from his opponent's right-back.
