Napoli defeated Pisa 3-2

Despite having to put in a lot of effort, Napoli defeated Pisa 3-2 at home on Monday to keep up their flawless start to the Serie A season and move up to the top of the standings. Billy Gilmour gave Napoli the lead in the first half with his first senior club goal, but Pisa equalised on the hour thanks to a penalty kick from M'Bala Nzola. Prior to Lorran's late goal for the visitors, goals from Leonardo Spinazzola and Lorenzo Lucca appeared to have sealed the victory.

After four games, Napoli leads Juventus by two points with 12 points, while promoted Pisa is in second place with one point. Juventus was held to a 1-1 draw against Hellas Verona on Saturday. Although the visitors nearly earned an early penalty, the hosts appeared to be in control from the off as they kept possession and probed the Pisa defence.
