Robert Renan, a 19-year-old Brazilian defender, is the target of Real Madrid. The young center-half progressed through Corinthians' systems before making 13 appearances for the Brazilian team's senior team. He departed the team last month as part of the Yuri Alberto operation to join with Russian powerhouse Zenit St. Petersburg. Renan is yet to make his Zenit debut, but Real Madrid has been keeping a close watch on the 19-year-old and has been keeping track of his development and performances.
The young defender is competing for Brazil at the South American U-20 Championship in Colombia right now. Additionally, he has done brilliantly in the competition, participating in each of his team's first five games. The U-20 Championship exploits by Renan are thought to have sparked Real Madrid's attention even further.
