Marc Cucurella is considering leaving Chelsea in January, according to The Sun. Real Madrid is covertly keeping tabs on the Spaniard's status in preparation for a potential loan deal. In the summer of 2022, Chelsea acquired Cucurella from Brighton & Hove Albion. However, like with many of their recent additions, nothing has really worked out. Cucurella struggled during the previous season, and it appears that Mauricio Pochettino is now not using him in any of his plans. The Spanish left-back has yet to play a minute in the Premier League this year, despite Chelsea's troubles as they now lie 14th in the standings.
Cucurella, though, would be a good acquisition for Real Madrid on loan. He played for teams like Eibar and Getafe and progressed through Barcelona's junior divisions, thus he has prior experience playing in Spain.
