Federico Gatti may be sold by Juventus this summer because of rumors that he is interested in joining Newcastle United. Since joining Juventus, the Azzurri defender has been a consistent member of the squad and saw a lot of playing time while Max Allegri was the manager at the Allianz Stadium. But now that Juventus has a new manager, Gatti needs to establish himself before he can return to the starting lineup.
Juve may think about selling him for the appropriate price because they are interested in a few defenders. Il Bianconero said that Juventus may sell Gatti and bring in one of three players to take his position. Juventus has shortlisted Jakub Kiwior of Arsenal, Riccardo Calafiori of Bologna, and Jean-Clair Todibo of Nice. Juventus may still seek at least one of these players if Gatti stays with the team. Selling him, though, would free up money to allow the recruitment of a new defender.
