Tottenham defeated Nottingham Forest 3-1

In the Premier League on Sunday, Tottenham defeated Nottingham Forest 3-1 behind the goals of Pedro Porro and Micky van de Ven. With the win, Spurs took the lead in the competition for the final guaranteed Champions League berth, moving them up to fourth in the rankings.

With a game remaining, Ange Postecoglou's squad leads fifth-place Aston Villa on goal differential. After halftime, the score was tied at one goal apiece for Van de Ven and Porro, who scored in the next six minutes. At Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Murillo's own goal put Spurs ahead in the 15th minute as he unintentionally turned Timo Werner's cross past Matz Sels. However, Chris Wood tied the score after scoring from Anthony Elanga's cross for the fourth straight game. In the 52nd minute, Van de Ven scored a goal from the edge of the penalty box to put Spurs back ahead, and six minutes later, Porro completed a half-volley to make it 3-1.
