Tsai divorce won’t alter Nets ownership structure

The ownership of the Brooklyn Nets will remain unchanged despite the separation of Joe Tsai and Clara Wu Tsai, who stressed that their personal split will not influence the governance of their sports holdings. As reported by Sportico, the couple issued a joint statement confirming that all operational structures will stay intact. They will continue leading Brooklyn Sports & Entertainment, which oversees the Nets, the New York Liberty, the Barclays Center and related assets. The Tsais emphasized continuity, noting Joe will remain team governor of the Nets and Clara will retain the same role with the Liberty, ensuring professional management remains in place.

They described their separation as a calm evolution of their relationship into a partnership focused on business and family. The couple also intends to involve their children in long‑term stewardship of the franchises. Since entering the NBA landscape in 2018, the Tsais have expanded BSE’s value and investor base, reinforcing stability despite personal changes.
