The Afghanistan Cricket Board has officially confirmed the dates for its three‑match T20I series against India, all set to be played in New Delhi on September 13, 15 and 17. In a letter to commercial partners, ACB CEO Naseeb Khan stated that the schedule and venues were agreed upon with the BCCI, effectively ending any remaining hope for India’s proposed tour of Bangladesh, which overlapped with the same window. With less than three weeks before the BCB’s planned dates, the Bangladesh series now appears unworkable unless governments intervene unexpectedly.
The ACB’s confirmation allows media rights holders to begin production and promotional planning, with ITW Universe currently negotiating linear broadcast deals with JioStar, Sony Sports and Zee Unite8. FanCode retains digital rights. Afghanistan has also asked the BCCI to consider shifting one match to September 14, aligning the series with Ganesh Chaturthi. ITW co‑founder Bhairav Shanth called the event a landmark moment for Afghan cricket.
