Nepal pulled off a sensational 42-run victory over hosts United Arab Emirate

Nepal pulled off a sensational 42-run victory over hosts United Arab Emirates (UAE) in the Triangular Series of the ICC World Cup League 2, reigniting hopes for a direct place in World Cup Qualifiers.

At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Monday, Nepal stunned the United Arab Emirates (UAE) with a score of 42 runs in the Triangular Series of the ICC World Cup League 2, reviving hopes for a straight entry into the World Cup Qualifiers. After deciding to bat first, Nepal scored 229-8 thanks to the combined efforts of its middle and lower middle-order hitters after suffering costly losses to its top order. With the bat, the UAE was bowled out for 187 runs by the visiting team, who then took the final six wickets while only giving up 41 runs. Bhim Sharki, who batted at position number five, made the highest score of the innings—70 off 99—and the first ODI half-century of his career.
