'100 per cent speculation': Chelsea's Maresca dismisses links to Man City job

The Italian recently described suffering his "worst 48 hours" at the club, criticizing internal figures for insufficient support, which sparked rumors of friction with ownership. The Athletic subsequently named him a potential candidate to replace Pep Guardiola.

However, facing the press before playing Newcastle, Maresca rejected these distractions. Citing his contract running until 2029, he expressed pride in his current role and unequivocally confirmed he will stay at Stamford Bridge.

Since joining in July 2024, Maresca has secured the UEFA Conference League and Club World Cup titles. With his team currently fourth in the Premier League, poised for Champions League progression, and through to the League Cup semi-finals, he insists that focusing his energy on external gossip is simply a waste of time.
