Arsenal defeats West Ham to take second place in the Premier League

Arsenal defeated West Ham 5-2 at the London Stadium thanks to a strong offensive display, advancing to second place in the Premier League. The Gunners, under the leadership of Bukayo Saka, continued their recent string of outstanding performances by utterly dominating their hosts with five goals in a hectic first half.

Saka played a key role, earning the penalty that Ødegaard scored, scoring from the penalty spot once himself, and setting up Gabriel and Leandro Trossard with assists. Kai Havertz completed a dominant offensive display by scoring as well. Saka has had a huge impact this season, contributing five goals and ten assists in his 12 Premier League games thus far. Arsenal has won a number of significant games since Ødegaard returned, including a 3-0 triumph over Nottingham Forest, a 5-1 Champions League success over Sporting Lisbon, and now this decisive victory over West Ham.
