Barcelona continue to lead La Liga, defeats Girona

Barcelona extends its La Liga lead after beating Girona by 1-0. The only goal scored in the match was by Pedri, when Barcelona stood on top of the table, over Real Madrid. The match was a difficult 61 minutes. After the only goal of the match, Pedri took the team to 47 points from a total of 18 matches played. Carlo Ancelotti’s Real Madrid is still 6 points behind them.

In the initial half, Barcelona dominated the game against Girona, despite which it could not succeed in creating evident chances of winning and this made the game even more difficult and yet curious to watch. Ousmane Dembele had very evident chances in the first half after he drew a save from Paulo Gazzaniga, the Girona goalkeeper, in the 14th minute. The second half of the match was entirely the same as the first one, just till the goal happened.
