Barcelona may give the 36-year-old star a possible contract extension

Robert Lewandowski has been a devoted team member of FC Barcelona since his arrival in 2022. The Polish striker has been a fantastic role model in addition to being a brilliant goal scorer with over 100 goals. He has turned out to be a great signing in many respects.

However, it is also true that the striker is 36 years old and, as one might expect, no longer in his best years. In addition, there is a lot of conjecture about his future, as his contract expires in 2026. The likelihood of Lewandowski's contract being extended past its 2026 expiration has not yet been ruled out by Barça. A renewal would appear plausible if the Barcelona star can produce a season with comparable stats to his last one. But the 36-year-old Polish attacker will likely miss three weeks of La Liga play due to a hamstring injury.
