Feyenoord stunned Bayern Munich with a 3-0 Champions League win

Feyenoord's 3-0 Champions League victory against Bayern Munich on Wednesday increased their prospects of finishing in the top eight in the league stage. With a thrilling win, the Eredivisie team pulled one point clear of its rivals, tying eighth-place Bayer Leverkusen on the points table and ready to take advantage of any mistakes made the following week. Substitute Ayase Ueda put the game beyond doubt in the 89th minute.

With a win, Bayern might have advanced to the top eight, but they now have a difficult task ahead of them to eliminate other clubs and avoid a last-16 spot. Santiago Gimenez's double in the first half put Feyenoord in charge, but Vincent Kompany's team will feel they should have taken something away from De Kuip after hammering the home goal.
