After PSG traded Xavi Simons to RB Leipzig earlier this year, a number of Premier League teams, notably Tottenham Hotspur and Newcastle United, have expressed interest in the Dutch midfielder. Leipzig paid €80 million for Simons, of which €55 million was paid in advance. The 22-year-old agreed to a deal with PSG that contained a sell-on clause and ran until June 2027.
Simons' future is the subject of increasing conjecture as the summer transfer window draws near. Arsenal, Chelsea, and Tottenham Hotspur are all being considered as potential destinations for the Netherlands international, and early talks have already started about a possible move to London. Chelsea and Arsenal are two of the teams keeping a careful eye on Xavi Simons this summer. Since May, it has been obvious that Simons will depart Leipzig, and a number of elite Premier League teams are fully aware of this. Nevertheless, no official proposals or discussions have yet to occur.
