Musiala returns to Bayern training following Club World Cup injury

Attacking midfielder Jamal Musiala returned to training with Bayern Munich on Tuesday, following a serious injury he sustained on 5 July during a Club World Cup match against PSG. He could return to competitive action in January.

Musiala fractured his fibula and suffered multiple ligament tears in his left ankle, requiring surgery. After rehabilitation, he began individual training on 23 October and has now rejoined the main squad.

Bayern head coach Vincent Kompany claimed, "He should get his first minutes in January. That would be the ideal plan for us." Bayern kick off next year with a match against Wolfsburg on 11 January.

The German attacker's ultimate goal is to achieve peak physical form to secure a place in Julian Nagelsmann's squad for the 2026 World Cup.
